Description
This position is partnered with the Statewide Medical Director to lead an exceptional team of medical providers at 21 facilities throughout Missouri. This is a hybrid position (remote and on-site) with company paid in-state travel required. A generous salary and comprehensive benefits package are offered. No nights, weekends or holidays.
The Associate Statewide Medical Director is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the clinical services provided within the Missouri Department of Corrections correctional institutions as well as for serving as a resource to the medical staff to provide comprehensive medical consultation and direction as needed. The Assistant Medical Director evaluates the medical care provided and delivers recommendations and direction to ensure quality medical care. This position works closely with the Statewide Medical Director. Company paid travel throughout the state as needed. In addition, providing on-site medical care to patients as needed, is required.
Qualifications
•Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
•Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
•Active and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain licensure required
•Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
