SUMMARY: This is a seasonal position, expected to run November 2024 through March 2025. Our mission: Make Complicated Simple. The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for reading source documents and accurately entering information into the computer system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a Full-Time position. Days and hours of work are Mondays through Fridays, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Hours may need to be extended or adjusted at any time, with or without notice, to meet the needs of the organization. Correctly read work orders and enter information into specific fields in the computer system Provide prompt and accurate administrative assistance to the department Able to use variety of office machines such a fax, copier, scanner and postage machine Maintain department files, records and/or computer databases Follow-up on documents that appear to be incomplete or that may contain errors Develop an effective and productive working relationship with coworkers This job description is not intended to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment Accurately type a minimum of 45 wpm Must be able to multitask and with exceptional attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats Possess strong customer service orientation Demonstrate capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months data entry experience or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. The work environment is generally quiet. OrePac supports a safe and drug-free workplace.
