Role Overview:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Best Roofing, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our workforce. Our company specializes in commercial roofing, and we are seeking a dynamic individual who will be responsible for recruiting top talent for both office and field roles. You will be instrumental in ensuring that we attract, hire, and retain the best team members while maintaining our culture, fundamentals and dedication to Safety, Quality and Productivity in our work.

Core Focus:

Develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies to source and attract candidates for office and field positions. Enhance our employer brand, ensure were bringing in the best talent, and delivering a positive candidate experience. You will be building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates, hiring managers and new hires.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full recruitment cycle for office and field roles, from identifying needs with hiring managers to successfully onboarding new hires.

Utilize various sourcing techniques, including social media, job boards, and networking events, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates and maintain an up-to-date talent pipeline.

Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers for subsequent selection processes.

Develop strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and provide guidance on candidate selection, follow up and support during the interview process.

Engage with industry professionals, trade schools, universities, and other institutions to establish a network for future hiring needs.

Work on employer branding initiatives to position Best Roofing as an employer of choice in the commercial roofing industry, for both field and office roles.

Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.

Develop, prepare, and update recruiting, onboarding, and interview materials to support the business in talent management.

Implement best practices in recruitment and maintain compliance with all federal and state employment laws. Stay updated on recruitment trends and legal requirements related to hiring, including E-Verify.

Maintain recruitment data and provide regular reports on recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and areas for improvement including time to fill, total cost overhead, turnover, compliance, and workforce forecasting.

How We Measure Success:

Quality of hire, including skills match and cultural fit.

Time-to-fill and cost-per-hire metrics.

Candidate satisfaction ratings.

Retention rates of new hires.

Effectiveness of sourcing strategies and employer branding efforts.

Skills and Experience:

Required Bilingual (business proficient) in English and Spanish.

Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the construction or commercial roofing industry.

Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers.

Proficiency in HR software and social media platforms for recruitment, such as Paylocity, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and various job boards.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of employment compliance and best practices in recruitment.
