They are currently ;ooking to add an X-Ray Tech Support to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $30/hr - $45/hr Position Overview: As an X-ray Tech Support, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients using X-rays and other imaging modalities. You will operate X-ray equipment, position patients, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. Additionally, you will maintain equipment, record patient information, and adhere to radiation safety protocols. Responsibilities of the X-ray Tech Support: Takes responsibility for overseeing the provision of services and patient security. Advises patients to get the desired results, encourages collaboration, and reduces fear before procedures. CR/Digital X-ray systems and imaging equipment are operated in a safe, effective, and appropriate manner. Assembles and records relevant data including the patient's medical history. Evaluates patients for possible causes of risk. Guarantees accurate patient and demographic data entry in PACS. Interprets and complies with medical orders, scanning pertinent PACS data. Meets deadlines for process completion. Generates high-quality diagnostic images with precise placement and approach for interpretation. Keeps the x-ray room tidy following the operation and examination. Respects infection control guidelines tailored to patient needs. Performs QA/QC testing based on the frequency required by the state. Prioritizes and organizes work assignments and adjusts priorities based on changing situations. Maintains order and cleanliness in the technologist work area. Consults and communicates with other departments in a professional manner. Plans delivery of care according to patient activity and staff competencies. Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety procedures for self and others. Ensures equipment is in acceptable condition by conducting routine quality control checks. Follows department standards for reporting equipment malfunctions or problems. Verifies exams in the PACS system. Directs the daily operations of all radiology functions, in all locations. Demonstrates the ability to make decisions, delegates, and assures the welfare of the patients and staff. Maintains equipment records and makes recommendations for replacement of outdated or poorly functioning equipment. Plans and assists in the orientation of new technical staff. Implements and oversees daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control, as mandated by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Demonstrates understanding and awareness of safety and radiation protection. Cancels and reschedules patient appointments as needed. Replenishes and changes supplies in assigned areas as needed. Demonstrates understanding of safety, health, and moral needs of customers and co-workers. Other job duties as required. Qualifications for the X-ray Tech Support: 1 - 3 years of experience. Maintains current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems. The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Advanced computer skills including email, Microsoft applications, and the ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record Systems, RIS, and PACS Systems. Education Requirements: Graduated from an accredited Radiology program Licensed by NJ State DEP. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies.
