The Marine Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for various marine projects, including emergency response, salvage operations, and environmental services. This role requires a strong background in marine engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Marine Engineer Responsibilities Provide technical support and engineering expertise for marine salvage, emergency response, and environmental projects. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of marine projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of the companty’s fleet of vessels and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal operational condition. Conduct detailed engineering design and analysis, including stability calculations, structural assessments, and propulsion system evaluations. Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and classification society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, USCG). Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation. Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine engineering and apply innovative solutions to improve project outcomes and operational efficiency. Marine Engineer Position Requirements Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, winches, etc on barges (shoreside).
