Civil Engineer

Seeking a Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our Longwood, FL office.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of post-EI certification experience in project coordination
• Application of general Civil Engineering design principles
• Proficiency in construction document preparation for competitive bidding
• Experience in Site Geometry, Utility Services, Site Grading, Storm Drainage design, Stormwater Management, and Local Agency Code Analysis
• Preparation of Project Documentation and Reports is advantageous

Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University
• EI License Certification
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK, and/or OpenRoads
• Proficiency in Excel and/or MathCad
• ICPR Experience is a Plus

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure civil and structural design integrity
• Participate in civil engineering design tasks
• Perform engineering calculations to support projects
• Act as a staff civil site development engineer
• Compile civil engineering plans and reports
• Prepare permit submittals
• Maintain civil engineering records
• Perform sub-professional civil engineering and field inspection work
• Conduct civil and environmental engineering analyses and design
• Generate construction design drawings and specifications
• Verify site, civil, and structural work
• Contribute to civil site development projects
• Maintain project documentation
• Provide engineering support during construction
• Edit construction specifications and engineering reports
