POSITION: Systems Engineer Level III

LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA

STATUS: Full time - Contingent Hire

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
  • Experience: 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering. Five (5) years of experience in developing systems lifecycle models, software development processes (SDLC-lifecycle management) and project management; two (2) years of experience working on full life cycle implementation teams including CMMI appraisals, and SCAMPI-A methodology, and demonstrates experience developing, implementing, and supporting Navy organizations in achieving or maintaining CMMI Maturity Level III or higher. Three (3) years' experience in computer hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, network communications, and training. In addition, one (1) year experience in one of the following two areas: troubleshooting and grooming Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) hardware and workstation issues on aircraft carriers, surface combatants, or submarines, and development and refinement of Configuration Data Sets (CDS) and equipment performance analysis reports; and one (1) year experience with condition assessment, data collection, and control and automation of auxiliary systems, equipment and machinery.
  • Citizenship and Clearance: US. Citizen.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% to support client meetings and requirements.
  • Skills: Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently or with a team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Client Familiarity: History and knowledge of CBM+ processes.
  • Tools Familiarity: MS SharePoint.
  • Acquisition Experience: Knowledge or education in the DoD Acquisition Process.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Contribute to production support activities including deployments, break-fix resolution, and incident management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, work across teams to deliver solutions, and provide technical support and consultation.
  • Maintain product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Identify potential problems in design, quality, or operations and initiate corrective action.
  • Collaborate on the development and refinement of standards and best practices for systems lifecycle models.
  • Provide guidance in software development processes (SDLC-lifecycle management) and project management.
  • Collaborate with team on full life cycle implementation, including CMMI appraisals, and SCAMPI-A methodology.
  • Perform complex network development and design work, maintaining CMMI Maturity Level III or higher.
  • Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements, computer hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, network communications.
