Cataract Surgeon/General Ophthalmologist Eye Care for the Adirondacks, Plattsburgh, New York We are looking for a compassionate and skilled comprehensive ophthalmologist ( New Grads Welcome ) with excellent surgical and clinical skills to provide care at our multi-specialty eye care group in Northern New York State. Our current professional team consists of 3 ophthalmologists and 5 optometrists with an ASC, and 3 office locations. We have a competitive base salary along with a production bonus. We are a highly efficient practice and it is our aim to maintain your work-life balance. Our offer includes: $400,000 base salary Sign on Bonus Based on Experience $10,000 Relocation reimbursement $6,500 CME +Productivity Bonus Expect total annual compensation of ~$600k (based on prior productivity data) Excellent Hours, we aim to protect your free time, MDs are typically working: Clinic: 8 AM Start - 3:30 PM finish Surgery: 7 AM Start - 1:30 PM finish Operate in our ASC, adjacent to the Clinic. Expect 600-800 Cataract Surgeries per year. No hospital call. 31 paid days off – Vacation 8 Paid Holidays Malpractice insurance, health insurance & dental, 401K with a match. We are equipped with a host of modern instruments: Optos, Zeiss OCTs, Lumenis Selecta Duet YAG/SLT, Zeiss Lumera Microscopes, Alcon Centurion Phaco Systems, and much more. We have an onboard retina surgeon to help and assist with complex cases. We have excellent clinical and surgical staff to assist you in caring for patients and to help make your day go smoothly. Plattsburgh, NY is located on beautiful Lake Champlain in Northern New York State, located approximately 55 miles from Montreal.
