Overview PharMerica is a non?retail pharmacy that focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long?term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide. This position provides an opportunity to grow pharmaceutical skills under the guidance of a state?licensed pharmacist while providing essential care to our patients in a closed?door pharmacy. Schedule Monday Friday, 8:30?am 5:00?pm State pharmacy tech license as required National certification preferred Previous pharmacy experience preferred Benefits Competitive pay Shift differential Health, dental, & vision Company paid STD & LTD Paid Time Off Flexible Schedules Tuition Reimbursement 401k Employee Discount Program DailyPay Responsibilities Enter data into the computer system to fill prescriptions and obtain reimbursement/payment, utilizing knowledge of drugs, medical nomenclature, and the metric system. Read and input written prescriptions and medical data, performing drug calculations and interpreting physician orders into the computerized medication or medication system. Operate computer system operations including order entry, billing, crediting, and updating medical records. Input daily orders (new and refills). Audit inputs versus documentation and make corrections as required. Generate reports as needed. Identify and resolve denials or follow?up of claims while maintaining knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes. Participate in orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Data Entry Technicians. May enter IV medication orders into the medication order system. Perform Pharmacy Technician duties as required. Perform other tasks assigned. Conduct duties in accordance with the Companys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and professional standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; National PTCB Technician Certification desired. One year experience in data entry in a long?term care pharmacy. Ability to communicate effectively, work as a team member, and recognize patient medications. Skilled in operating a computer. Skilled in performing detailed work. Knowledge of Medicaid claims regulations and processes. As required by state, technician licensure or certification in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas. Possess communication, initiative, problem?solving, team orientation, leadership, and detail?orientation skills.
