About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our team of elite engineers in shaping the future of healthcare technology. In this role, you will build and nurture Freed’s engineering culture focused on speed, responsibility, and ownership while driving the delivery of high-quality software products. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work on both strategic and tactical initiatives.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Guide and support a team of engineers to achieve their full potential. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes innovation and professional growth.

Establish efficient engineering processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with strategic objectives and quality standards.

Oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge product features, working across the backend (TypeScript) and frontend (React/TypeScript) components.

Cultivate a positive engineering culture rooted in Freed’s values. Recruit and develop a diverse and inclusive team of talented engineers.

Drive the successful delivery of software products by overseeing technical architecture, design, and implementation.

Collaborate effectively across teams and time zones to ensure cohesive development and integration of products.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum of 7 years in full-stack software engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, and Git.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across various functions and time zones.

Proven track record in building and leading high-performing engineering teams.

Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
