The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to support our team. This position will support both our corporate office in Novi, MI and our facility in Fostoria, OH. As such, we would ideally like to find someone who lives in an area between the two, such as the Toledo area.

The IT Technician will be responsible for responding to help requests, user management, assisting with administration of network systems and applications, equipment management, and other tasks as assigned by the Regional IT Manager.

As an IT Technician, you can expect your basic duties to include:
  • Providing technical support, responding to help desk requests thoroughly and in a timely manner - this includes on-site support in Novi, MI and Fostoria, OH
  • Configuring and deploying company computers and mobile devices
  • Support end-users with their desktops, laptops and smartphones
  • Completing all user management activities, including new user setup, terminated user shutdown, workstation maintenance / setup, phone user maintenance, and access changes
  • On-boarding new users to the company, managing all aspects of their setup: account creations / permissions, e-mail account, file share services and remote access
  • Completing hardware management activities, including equipment ordering, inventory, tracking, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Assisting with setting up, tearing down, storing, and transferring equipment as assigned or established through approved tickets.
  • Servicing and testing network, technology, equipment, and computers
  • Performing software and hardware installation and maintenance as directed
  • Performing backups of essential libraries
  • Ensuring tickets are managed appropriately to ensure clear and concise communication updates in each trouble ticket, updating tickets from start to close
What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
