Additionally, you are an expert on the data model within the context of the technical environment and will design a model to leverage the strengths of the technical environment.Job Responsibilities:Perform data discovery work to manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources to help develop various types of data-driven Home Lending products/initiatives.Build algorithms to make joining datasets without unique keys possibleUnderstand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutionsCreate data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancyThink critically about headwinds facing the business and explore opportunities for analyticsPartner with key Stakeholders and Business to ensure their foundational data needs are being addressed.Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.Collaborate with team members, both to build out specific projects and to continuously teach and learn new technology and techniquesWork independently with minimal supervision but high accountabilityRequired Skills, qualifications and capabilitiesAbility to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlinesTechnical knowledge of data infrastructure practices and toolsExpert understanding of data structure and strong SQL - experience building stored procedures and troubleshooting data quality issuesAdept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels of expertiseIntermediate knowledge of Machine LearningProven excellence at formulating, understanding, and solving complex, non-routine quantitative problemsAptitude for learning new theory and new technologyExperience working with one or more of Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, Microsoft SQL DBs and intermediate knowledge of AWS cloud solutions (S3, RDS, Athena, Aurora).Experience with reporting technologies like RedShift, Tableau, SSRS, Cognos a plus.Masters Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics / Statistics, Economics.5+ years of data and analytics, functional industry experience in operations, marketing, credit/risk, technology, or financePreferred Skills, qualifications and capabilities3 + years mortgage experience preferred***Hybrid work schedule, no relocation support is offered for this role***Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
