Base pay range $24.00/hr - $27.00/hr Position Summary The Radiation Oncology (RO) Patient Navigation Coordinator is responsible for guiding patients through their journey from initial referral to the start of treatment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and referring providersensuring timely access to care, smooth coordination of services, and clear communication throughout the process. The Patient Navigator Coordinator plays a critical role in minimizing delays, addressing barriers to care, and creating a compassionate, patient-centered experience. What You Will Be Doing Patient Navigation & Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact for new RO patients, ensuring a welcoming and supportive introduction to the department. Coordinate all steps from referral to treatment start, including scheduling consultations, diagnostic imaging, simulation, and treatment planning appointments. Ensure timely retrieval and review of outside medical records, imaging, and pathology. Communication & Liaison Act as the central communication link between patients, physicians, nurses, radiation therapists, and referring providers. Documentation & Reporting Monitor referral-to-treatment timelines and report metrics to leadership. What You Will Bring To The Team High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred). Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience, preferably in oncology or radiation oncology. Experience in patient navigation, care coordination, or case management. Familiarity with radiation oncology terminology, processes, and workflows. Bilingual abilities.
