We have the immediate opening for a

Traffic

Engineering Leader

that will assist in building and managing a traffic engineering group within the West Virginia market. This position will play a vital role in expanding our presence in West Virginia, hiring and mentoring staff, and helping guide the overall direction of our growth and expansion in West Virginia as well as supporting growth throughout the company. Leadership responsibilities include: operating with integrity and sound business principles, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships, open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing the roadway design practice. The successful candidate must be energetic and have a demonstrated ability to pursue and manage transportation projects with the West Virginia Department of Transportation as well as municipalities, counties, and regional planning organizations. Requirements:

The successful applicant must possess the following:A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the designing of transportation projectsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s Degree or other advanced degree desirableP.E., registered in the state of West VirginiaStrong knowledge of WVDOT Policies and Procedures preferredTrack record of developing and growing engineering groups and establishing internal and external relationshipsAbility to manage and mentor staff of all levels and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerExcellent communication and business development skills including developing client relations, strategic partnering, preparing proposals and preparing/delivering presentationsExperience with all aspects of engineering project management including preparing scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedulesEnsuring quality and timeliness of deliverables and supervising the execution of work.Able to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetingsPositive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with othersWillingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the companyOpen to utilizing and developing new technologies and approaches for performing work
