We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services and Databricks, and a strong background in data engineering and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement data engineering solutions on the Databricks platform.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Databricks workflows and pipelines.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to Databricks and big data processing.

Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using services like EC2, S3, VPC, EKS, MWAA, etc.

Develop and deploy serverless architectures using Lambda.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

Provide technical support to development, testing, help desk, and training teams.

Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, Lambda, and IAM.

1+ year of experience working with Databricks.

Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and open-source tools.

Proficiency in provisioning AWS resources using Terraform and/or CloudFormation scripts.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.

Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder and have established residency in the US for the past three (3) years. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

 Preferred Qualifications:

 AWS certifications (professional and specialty) are desirable.

Experience developing and deploying scalable cloud solutions for the federal sector.

HHS/CMS AWS cloud experience is a plus.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies; SAFe knowledge is a plus

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload based on the needs of the client

Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Excellent technical writing skills and proven experience in systems with complex requirements

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to team with others to meet project objectives

Understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile; SAFe knowledge a plus

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to navigate in an office setting unassisted

Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds

Strong speaking skills, including the ability to articulate thoughts in a clear manner and excellent word enunciation skills are required
