Food Service Handler's Certificate

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid and appropriate food service certification for safe food handling.
Some positions in this classification may require a valid California driver's
•Completed NUSD employment application - DOJ fingerprint scan, TB test, Drug Screening, must pass the CPR/First Aid training course, and Physical Exam.
•One (-1-) current (dated and signed within 2 years) letter of recommendation.
•Food handler's certificate
•All materials must be received by the Needles Unified School District Support Office
•Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and submit all necessary materials

ABILITY TO:
Assist in quantity preparation and serving of food items to students at an assigned school cafeteria.
Maintain food service facilities, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition.
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow health and sanitation requirements.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Wash, cut, slice and assemble food items.
Work cooperatively with others.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Perform cashiering duties and make basic math computations as assigned by the position.
Maintain routine records related to work performed.
