Bargaining Unit: EARate of Pay: $43.30/hour + DOESummaryServes to Primary oversee the District's electrical and electrical distribution systems. Performs a variety of general, mechanical, electrical and refrigeration preventive/requested maintenance work orders as well as inspections, servicing repair and/or overhaul of equipment and/or utility systems in all TFHS facilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServices and performs repairs of various hospital equipment and systems on routine and emergency basis.Participates in creating an efficient preventive maintenance and service oriented work request programs.Recognizes and corrects any safety compliance issues.Maintains required safety and life safety code records / requirements. Also conducts fire drills and equipment safety checks.Maintains work areas in an orderly, clean and safe manner.Applies most cost effective measures when determining whether repairs or replacement is necessary and in the utilization of materials and efficient use of time.Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.Reviews construction planning documents to inform and recommend improvements in the best interest of the district.Repairs and maintains high voltage systems.Ability to operate and maintain emergency power generation load switch gear.Repairs and Maintains a variety of district assets including but not limited to: Boilers, Air Handlers, Chillers and other major and minor mechanical systemsOperates and Maintains the districts building management systemPerforms on-call dutiesDemonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.Complies with System policies and procedures.Other duties as may be assigned. Other Experience/Qualifications Required:Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system.Skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of electrical / electronic equipment and components.Preferred:Fire/Life/Safety Technician CertificateJourneyman level Electrician Certification
