Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Substation Engineer on behalf of our client, a prominent leader in the EPC sector, focusing on utility services. This role is central to the planning, engineering, design, and execution phases of substation projects. The selected candidate will be instrumental in driving forward power delivery projects, leveraging innovative solutions to meet the future needs of energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities include: Engaging in a wide range of substation engineering activities, from initial design concepts to detailed engineering and execution, primarily focusing on engineering and design stages. Supporting the comprehensive management of substation project lifecycles. Working in close partnership with a dedicated team to ensure the smooth and effective execution of substation projects, strictly complying with relevant industry standards and regulations. Performing thorough analyses to guarantee the reliability and efficiency of the system. Offering on-site support during the construction phase. Planning, organizing, executing, and overseeing tasks that require the application of independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, adapting, and modifying standard engineering practices, procedures, and criteria. Undertaking engineering tasks that, while generally following established practices, may include complex features requiring innovative solutions. Possessing a broad understanding of precedents in the field and knowledge of basic principles and practices in related areas. Possibly managing project studies and the preparation of reports within the department and division. Developing novel solutions to problems as they arise. Performing additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Professional Engineering (PE) license. A minimum of 8 years of experience in substation engineering, with a proven track record of leading successful projects. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and innovative challenges. Strong leadership capabilities, with experience mentoring junior staff.
