What you'll do:
  • Produce designs for electrical control systems for new equipment and for modifying existing equipment.
  • Generate and maintain documentation for circuits, assemblies, parts specifications, material bills, risk management and operation manuals.
  • Produce machine control programming for PLCs, HMIs, motor drives and related control equipment.
  • Assemble and test prototype equipment.
  • Assist in assembly and wiring of production equipment.
  • Program and debug production equipment.
  • Write vision system programs.
  • Assist the assembly department with resolving problems with parts, methods and engineering changes.
This is an entry level engineering position to work towards:
  • Develop control systems designs that will provide proper function, operational safety and ease of use in plant equipment.
  • Support the assembly process with programming, evaluation, certifying the quality of electrical systems and occasional machine wiring, when necessary.
  • Generate and maintain engineering documentation to facilitate the plant assembly process.
  • Assist with maintenance and setup of vision systems.

What you'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Five years of experience in designing and implementing complex electrical systems for industrial and commercial clients
  • Coursework in analog, digital circuit design and power circuit analysis
  • AutoCAD 2D or 3D and MS Office
  • Hands on wiring and assembly skills
  • Ability to communicate and work with individuals and groups both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of design and small microprocessor systems
