FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY SHIFT AVAILABILITYPosition purpose: To provide excellent customer service to our customers
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essentials duties)
- Greet and acknowledge every guest
- Demonstrate solid product knowledge
- Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements
- Demonstrate friendly and helpful service to all customers consistently
- Suggest additional items to the customer
- Ensure wine bar and poles are stocked at all times
- Transfer wines from floor to trust as needed, ensure all trust wines are appropriately marked
- Follow procedures for cleanliness and safe wine service (change water in sink every 2 hours)
- Follow correct procedures for empties and culls
- Ensure cold wine is fully stocked at all times
- Ensure all bottles behind bar and on floor are clean and dust-free
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers, including scanning or inputting barcodes
- Ring each item on the correct key
- Minimize cash discrepancies so they do not exceed +/- $5.00 per day
- Meet or exceed customer service standards
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, and display maintenance
- Stock the floor as needed
- Complete housekeeping tasks as needed
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
- Make sandwiches and other food items
- Follow all food handling, hygiene and safety processes and procedures
- Ensure all fresh food cases are stocked and maintained
Qualifications: (minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, required certifications, etc.)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must obtain a California Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of employment
- Able to have basic math skills, able to follow verbal and written instructions, able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard
- Cash handling is required. Cash discrepancies must not exceed +/- $5.00 per day.
- Some exposure to cleaning products, (bathroom and toilet cleansers, window cleaners, wax, wax stripper, graffiti remover, paint remover etc), paint, and other chemicals is required.
- Equipment used: glass handling, deli slicer, knives, tortilla warmer, hot beverage equipment, CO2
