Responsibilities: A MUST
- SEC Filings: Participate in all aspects of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, 11-K, and other SEC filings). This includes revamping certain sections, work paper/electronic compilation, tie-out, integrating colleague comments, and interacting with business leaders to ensure accurate filings. Perform XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes. Manage the SEC reporting software (Workiva).
- Regulatory Reporting: Complete regulatory reporting filings (call reports, FR Y-9LP, FR Y-9C, FR Y-6, FR Y-10, etc.) and assist in implementing process improvement solutions.
- Earning Release Support: Provide support for the earnings release process, including preparation of ER tables and verbiage tie-out.
- Audit and Compliance: Provide audit, accounting, and compliance support by satisfying all requests timely and accurately. Communicate with external and internal auditors regarding financial reporting matters.
- Research and Disclosure: Independently research accounting and disclosure-related matters. Incorporate new GAAP/SEC reporting requirements into filings and recommend improvements to existing disclosures for compliance and effectiveness.
- Internal Reporting: Prepare various schedules for internal reporting requirements, including the monthly Board package. Prepare consolidated financial statements for management, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform and complete ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
What you can Offer:
- CPA license or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or public company financial reporting.
- Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and concepts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including research skills for current and prospective updates to SEC disclosure requirements and regulatory reporting.
- Banking/financial institution experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and adapt plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
