Location: Franklin, TN

Type: Hybrid Role (2-3 days in office per week)

Driving profitable share growth for our eComm business is a major priority for the enterprise. It is critical we understand our pet parent through advanced analytics, search, traffic, conversion, ratings and reviews, and sales data. The senior digital insights manager is responsible for generating, analyzing, and interpreting data related to Mars digital performance and in turn providing solutions to improve our digital strategy. This individual will use their communication skills and digital acumen to build new processes and accelerate Mars' digital performance. They will also be responsible for leading the digital category management blueprint and collaborating with our product manager to democratize our digital data through the Cascade product.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's Degree in a field such as business analytics, statistics, economics, data science, marketing or digital marketing
  • MBA Preferred or other advanced degree
  • 5+ years of experience in insights, CPG, digital agency, digital marketing, D2C, consumer behavior analysis, market research, or strategic consulting roles
  • 3+ years of experience working in digital insights, SEO, Amazon FBA, or digital shelf experience.
  • Experience assimilating extensive amounts of detailed data to see the big picture, providing actionable and influential recommendations.
  • Understanding of digital analytics tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Stackline, Profitero, eFundamentals, Data Impact or similar products. Candidate should also be familiar with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable solutions and ability to apply them to appropriately address business issues.
  • Stong ability to create new business processes based upon key insights, alignment with key stakeholders, and drive meaningful business impact.
  • Collaborative activity with a retailer partner, examples using insights to influence and change strategy for evident improvement.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in a digital insights, analytics, CPG, digital agency, or digital consulting, Amazon Merchandising, or digital shelf role
  • Experience working with SEO, digital content, traffic, conversion, and/or clickstream data.
  • Experience working with Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, Instacart, or another large digital retailer.
  • Experience with digital A/B testing
  • Experience working with digital shelf tools: Stackline, Profitero, eFundamentals, CommerceIQ, Similarweb, Data Impact.
  • Experience working with traffic, conversion, or SEO data: Similarweb, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Merchant Words
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Analytics Expertise: Utilize advanced analytics techniques to dissect e-commerce trends, identifying actionable insights to enhance our digital performance.
  • Digital Strategy Development: Develop innovative processes and solutions to optimize our presence on the digital shelf, leveraging insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Foster collaboration across departments, leveraging effective communication skills and digital acumen to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Retailer Partnership: Forge strong partnerships with top e-commerce retailers, collaborating to drive mutual growth and enhance our position in the digital marketplace.
  • Product Collaboration: Work closely with product managers to democratize digital data through the Cascade product, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Growth Mindset: Demonstrate a growth mindset, actively seeking out novel problems and digital opportunities to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Analyze e-commerce data to uncover trends and derive actionable insights for informed digital business decisions.
  • Solve novel business questions to drive digital dollar share growth, leveraging prior digital experience.
  • Define and optimize the pet parent digital shopping journey based on previous digital expertise, ensuring an enhanced experience.
  • Evaluate retail analytics metrics including traffic, conversion rates, organic search, and digital share of shelf across platforms like Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart.
  • Utilize digital analytics tools like Data Impact, Similarweb, Stackline, and Nielsen products, alongside visualization platforms like Tableau or PowerBI, to quantify business opportunities.
  • Passionately delve into data to uncover root causes of issues and recommend optimal strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with digital, marketing, field sales, and insights teams to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Establish new processes to enhance organic share of shelf and drive profitable dollar share growth.
  • Proactively seek out new e-commerce tools, insights, and opportunities, sharing discoveries with key stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior management, marketing, e-commerce, and sales teams.
  • Lead the development of e-commerce dashboards, optimizing data sets, KPI formulas, and layouts to democratize data access across the organization.
