Job Description

Charlton Family Medicine is hiring a full-time Patient Support Specialist to join their team

Monday-Thursday 8:15am-4:30pm, Friday 8:15am-3:30pm.

The ideal candidate will have superior customer service skills, preferably in the medical field. This position is formerly known as a Medical Secretary.

Responsibilities:

  • This is a phone position.

    • Process incoming telephone calls/messages based on office policy and procedure.
    • Schedule same day/routine appointments for patients, following office protocols for access to care.
    • Take messages for test results, prescriptions, etc. and send the information to the appropriate team to process.
    • Organize and monitor the provider's daily schedule.
    • Maintain timely patient flow.

Annual Salary Range: $15.25 - $22.75

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
  • Previous clerical experience in a medical practice preferred.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers and external customers.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
