Job Description: Universal Plant Services is in search of an experienced Manual Machinist to work in our Shop location in Carson, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual machining with the ability to operate Engine Lathe, Vertical Turning Lathe and Horizontal Boring Machine. Responsibilities: * Set up and operate manual Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) and Horizontal Mills. * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. * Perform precision machining tasks to produce components within tight tolerances. * Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. * Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance. * Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met. Qualifications: * 6 years' experience as a Manual Machinist with experience in VTL and Horizontal Milling. * Strong understanding of machining techniques and tools. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. * Ability to work with precision and attention to detail. * Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean work environment.
