As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Specialist (Machine Shop Supervisor) to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).

Qualifications:

  • Supervise Mechanical/Mooring Production by Field Service Mechanical Technicians

  • Supervise Machine Shop/Weld Shop production and operations

  • Assigns and monitors production goals

  • Assigns qualified team members to Field Service Missions

  • Develops annual Machine Shop consumable needs list

  • Monitors Machine Shop consumable inventory

  • Conducts Pre- and Post- Mission Coordination of Assigned Teams

  • Assesses/assigns of Shop Support Tickets

  • Maintains the paint/sandblast facility

  • Coordinates with the Operations Manager, Electronics Shop/Engineering Lab Supervisors to meet production goals

  • Available 24/7 for Machinist/Maintenance Trades Helper or Field Service related support

  • AS/AA Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience
