Job DetailsJob LocationFL, Ocala - Lowell Correctional Institution - Ocala, FLPosition TypeFull-TimeEducation LevelGraduate DegreeTravel PercentageNoneJob ShiftDayJob CategoryBehavioral Health Professional & SupportDescriptionCenturion is proud to be the provider of mental health to the Florida Department of CorrectionsWe are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Clinical Director to join our team at Lowell Correctional Institution located in Ocala, Florida.The Mental Health Clinical Director will work as part of the management team, provide administrative guidance, consultation and mental health leadership to coordinate clinical needs and provide assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of patients in a correctional setting.Assist with the development, implementation, coordination, promotion and evaluation of clinical servicesEnsure that behavioral/mental health services delivered are in compliance with correctional mental health standardsSupervise non-psychiatric staff including counselors, social workers, re-entry and clerical support as assignedEnsure that non-psychiatric staff are providing services within their scope of practice and under necessary supervisionIdentify and develop clinical resources for use by staff in service delivery and enhancement ofclinical skills of staffCollaborate with Psychiatric Providers in the integration of psychiatric services into mental health program Assist and inform the H.S.A./Nurse Manager, Regional Psychologist, Regional Director, or Statewide Leadership in monitoring all Company related behavioral/mental health programs and outpatient services, ensuring appropriate staff assignments and performance, identifying backlogs or other operational problems, and results of issues and/or actions takenRepresent the Company at meetings as requested by the H.S.A./Nurse Manager, Regional Psychologist, Regional Director or WardenAssist H.S.A./Nurse Manager and Regional Psychologist with recruitment/hiring of behavioral/mental health staff and new hire orientation, and provide feedback on staff performance managementMonitor, assess, and coach staff on clinically-related procedures, recommending training or education as neededInterpret and consult on all Administrative Regulations or Standard Operating Procedures related to behavioral/mental health servicesConduct/oversee in-service training on behavioral/mental health related topics for the Company and facility staffProvide onsite clinical/mental health services as requiredIdentify and maintain professional boundaries to preserve the integrity of the therapeutic process and relationshipOther duties as assigned** Schedule is Monday - Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm **QualificationsM.S., M.A., or M.S.W. in Psychology, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution requiredFull / Active professional license in Florida is requiredMust receive approval of the Credentialing Review Committee if review requested Ability to become a Qualified Supervisor within specified field of studyMust maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certificationMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain FDC security clearanceMinimum of two years supervisory experience preferredFive years behavioral/mental health experience in a correctional and/or mental health services environment preferredWe offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...indmhm
