CNC MACHINST 1st CLASS Job location: Jacksonville, Florida Summary: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machineEssential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) Operating & Programming for complex parts using CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and/or conversational programming on Mazak and DMG Mori lathes & mills) Develop machine set-ups, program edits, program saving, and working with tolerances to +/- .001" Demonstrate forward thinking to avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot any problems that do arise Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment Read 2-D shop prints and update paperwork accurately and in an organized manner Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and various other inspection equipment Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) required Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M/M schedules Maintain high level of quality as identified by customer requirements General shop duties as needed Salary : $22.00 - $30.00 / Hour; Determined upon experience. Experience troubleshooting machining issues with various types of manual and CNC lathes & mills. Experience with high performance alloys (copper/nickel, Inconel, stainless alloys) a plus.
