Schedule: 8 hours a day three days a week
Stipend: $4,608 ($16 per hour)
Job Summary:
The Mission Marketing & Communications Intern is responsible for creating content that amplifies the mission of Goodwill Northern New England (NNE). This role combines content creation/video production, marketing and public relations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic communicator with a passion for storytelling, who can help share our nonprofit's mission with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with client(s) to create quality story package(s) sharing their story of being
served by Goodwill NNE. This includes a video with cuts for social, web post and a
press release if applicable. - Contribute to Goodwill NNE social media channels.
- Help build program-focused photo and video B-roll libraries.
- Write and distribute mission-focused press releases.
- Provide support at program events, such as grand openings or open houses.
- Attend and contribute to weekly Marketing & Communications team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned
- Pursuing a degree in or have experience in media studies, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred.
- Video, photography, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop or Illustrator, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced work setting
- Maintain a good driving record, dependable transportation and telephone communication devices
- Must be able to travel to all designated Goodwill locations as needed.
- This 8-12 week Internship is based in Gorham, Maine. Three (3) eight-hour days per week are expected.
