Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. As a software engineer, you will be responsible for developing core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Your role will involve identifying client purchasing requirements and technical specifications, assisting in design changes to equipment and software, training and communicating with clients, and analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and new products. You will collaborate with product managers, users, and engineering teams to gather and implement new requirements and ensure the product meets user needs. Additionally, you will evaluate new technologies, provide support to customer support teams, and assist offshore teams in project deliveries and day-to-day activities.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. You should have at least ten years of experience in end-to-end systems development life cycles, high-level designs, system architecture, design patterns, sequence diagrams and class models, and solution design. Furthermore, you should have experience in estimating work effort, utilizing various technologies and development tools, and working with algorithm design, Windows and Unix systems, and open-source libraries. A Master's degree in the above-listed fields plus eight years of experience will also be accepted. Telecommuting and working from home may be possible according to company policies.
