My Client is giving artists and creators ownership over their data. They are creating a marketplace for clean AI training data, allowing creators to earn royalties on their data and chose how it is used for training machine learning models.

Enterprises need training data for all AI/ML development, and its expensive. Creators produce this data naturally through making art, recording a podcast, posting a video etc. We help these creators turn their content into training data, and earn fair prices from enterprises that wish to use it.

This is a pivotal moment for AI development, where we have the opportunity to define how companies and creators can work together to the benefit of both. Join our founding team, as we pave the path for that collaboration to be fair.

Role Description

You will be responsible for developing and designing the technical infrastructure of our platform. You will collaborate with the founding team to architect and build scalable and innovative solutions. You will set the culture as a role model for how our technical organization collaborates and solves problems, while exemplifying best practices and engineering standards that ensure our tech stack stands on solid foundations. Additionally, you will handle day-to-day engineering development tasks, troubleshoot and debug issues, and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the company – we have a lot of building to do, after all.

This is a remote role, with a strong preference given to candidates in the New York City metropolitan area who can meet in person as needed to chew through hard problems together. We have reserved early stage equity to compensate the right candidate.

Basic Qualifications

  • Prior track record of implementing, maintaining, and supporting large-scale production systems
  • Demonstrated success leading architecture design for enterprise-scale systems
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally on projects with product, science, and design partners
  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and tools, preferably from direct building experience
  • Passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative, encouraging development culture
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Experience with database management and optimization
  • Ability to lead projects independently and remotely
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and Java
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior startup experience is a plus
