Consultant The Consultant manages and implements external projects designed to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of organizations. Types of projects include data-driven strategic planning, organizational and leadership consulting, and program evaluation. Tasks include: Project management- manage the design and execution of projects; Ensure project deliverables are met on time and with the project goals in mind. Manage MRC Project Teams to execute project designs and methodologies. Foster excellent client engagement including standing project meetings and regular communications. Build rapport and common ground between client and project staff. Design and facilitate strategic planning sessions, measurement selection workshops, and other professional sessions needed to support the development of the organizations we serve. Promote staff fulfillment (feeling valued and important) in each project This position reports directly to the Managing Director for all project-related activities. They are also expected to work closely with the Executive Director and the entire research team. QUALIFICATIONS A social science educational background with a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of experience, or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience. A degree or experience in industrial and organizational psychology sciences or organizational development, strongly preferred. Experience working within a variety of government and nonprofit organizations. Previous experience developing and managing multiple applied projects, Experience facilitating group meetings and managing change. Previous experience providing internal or external consulting services related to strategic planning, program evaluation, and organizational development. Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically in technical and business report writing. Demonstrated experience developing strategies and recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness. Experience in developing plans and surveys with strong psychometric properties designed to be used in applied research preferred. Ability to design engaging reports and presentations; understanding of data visualization and info graphic best practices preferred. Ability to work collaboratively as a team as well as work independently and to meet deadlines. Ability to travel to meetings across the state of Ohio and occasionally out of state. Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a growing environment. Performance Expectation Ongoing communication will occur regarding employee performance. A formal review will occur at least annually.

Consultant’s performance will be evaluated on the following elements.
