*Occupational Therapist (OT)* *Employment Type:* Full-time or Part-time*About Alabama Game Changers (AGC)* Alabama Game Changers is a nonprofit, multi-disciplinary organization serving children and young adults with dyslexia and related learning differences through a neuro-rehabilitative model that bridges medical, educational, and therapeutic disciplines. We are dedicated to rebuilding reading foundations, restoring confidence, and equipping families with tools for lifelong success. *Position Overview* The Occupational Therapist will play a critical role in evaluating and treating children who present with sensory, motor, visual processing, and cognitive challenges that impact reading, writing, and overall learning readiness. This role integrates therapy with educational and medical interventions, working closely with AGCs team of reading interventionists, evaluators, and medical providers. *Key Responsibilities* * Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations focusing on fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, visual perception, oculomotor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance related to literacy and learning. * Develop individualized treatment plans that align with AGCs data-driven model and educational therapy outcomes. * Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions that address sensory processing, motor skills, visual skills, and attention. * Collaborate closely with medical, educational, and reading teams to support cohesive care and consistent progress monitoring. * Document sessions and progress in AGCs HIPAA-compliant EHR system. * Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and data-collection initiatives. * Educate families on strategies for home and school environments. * Proficient in utilizing and navigating Google Drive (i.e., Excel, Word Docs, PowerPoint, and Emails) * Uphold all HIPAA and nonprofit compliance standards. *Qualifications* * Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. * Current Alabama OT license and NBCOT certification. * Experience in pediatrics, sensory integration, or literacy-related therapy strongly preferred. * Familiarity with data collection, interdisciplinary collaboration, and family education. * Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. *Benefits (Part Time or Full Time, 25 - 40 hours)* * PTO * Paid Holidays * BCBS * 401K * License reimbursement * CEUs reimbursement * Pay commensurate with experience. *Ideal Candidate* We are seeking an additional team member who is consistent, reliable, dedicated, compassionate, and eager to contribute to a holistic care model that blends therapy, education, and research.
