Let us be the best place you'll ever work.A Brief OverviewThe Application Performance Monitoring Engineer will configure and maintain a scalable and robust monitoring and alerting systems. In addition, be a consultant for all performance monitoring tools (i.e., AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, Dynatrace, SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability and Orion). Provide input on design and processes while partnering with application and infrastructure teams.What you will doThe Application Performance Monitoring Engineer will configure and maintain a scalable and robust monitoring and alerting systems. In addition, be a consultant for all performance monitoring tools (i.e., AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, Dynatrace, SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability and Orion). Provide input on design and processes while partnering with application and infrastructure teams.Build, create, and automate reports and dashboards that reflect business priorities, metrics, and user experiences, as well as conduct system capacity planning analysisCollaborate with internal and external teams to create, deliver, and maintain automated alerts and notifications focusing on reducing the mean time to restore (MTTR).Actively participate in the incident response process and drive the triage and diagnosis of problems.Analyze data and process flows to determine the performance of existing hardware and applications (conceptual benchmarking)Review IT tooling industry best practices and determine suitability/applicability to the environmentInteract with hardware, software, and platform vendors and assist with budget planningPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsEducation QualificationsBachelor's Degree Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related or equivalent experience RequiredExperience Qualifications1-3 years Relevant experience RequiredDemonstrated ability to quickly define problems, draw valid conclusions, and drive decisions to support the enterprise RequiredFamiliarity with building single pane of glass dashboards that provide key insights and analysis about environment health, capacity, and performance RequiredExperience as a Site Readiness Engineer is a plus PreferredExperience in reliability and maintenance or engineering RequiredExperience in reporting / analytic solution development. RequiredExperience with end-to-end monitoring and observability concepts, app support procedures, and other technical areas. RequiredSkills and AbilitiesDynatrace, SolarWinds Orion, ThousandEyesPreferred:OpsGenie, Nagios XL, AppDynamics, SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability (Medium proficiency)Ability to earn trust and build credibility with key internal partners.Ability to take the initiative and work in a highly dynamic environment.Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment.Demonstrated team player who can build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.Robust interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
