The Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Driver. The Driver provides secure and dependable transportation services for assigned department(s). Furthermore, the Driver ensures that vehicle operation activities comply at all times with established safe driving methods and standards, University policies and procedures, and external rules and regulations.

Reports any criminal or suspicious activities.

Informs appropriate staff regarding hazardous road conditions and any traffic citations, violations, or incidents.

Conducts visual and physical inspection of the assigned vehicle before, during, and after operation.

Refuels and cleans the interior of the vehicle.

Reports and addresses any maintenance problems or vehicle service needs.

Maintains contact with and follows all instructions and directions from managing staff.

Follows all established routes and takes detours only when absolutely necessary.

Keeps accurate time schedules and other necessary records.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Valid State of Florida drivers license-minimum Class B Drivers License

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary..

Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).

Ability to operate a motor vehicle
