Temporary Material Handler 4

Key Responsibilities:Safe effective control of operating lift to protect all property (Building, lift and materials)Care for handling of raw material or finished goods ensuring stacked safely and securely.Time management- Arrive on-time, take proper breaks, and maintain safe behaviors throughout shift.Understanding of warehouse management system and the scanners used for each transaction.Knowledge of the process and keyProperly documenting and recording transactions for raw material deliveries or outgoing shipmentsThoroughly perform daily fork truck inspections prior start of shiftAble to inform lead of any issue that may be and exception or abnormal to process.Escalate all serious matters of safety or any unplanned incident to lead. Professional Experience:2 Years of distribution or manufacturing or related experience preferred.1 Year experience operating fork trucks or equivalent skillsetAny large fork truck (greater than 10,000 lbs) or other heavy equipment operation desiredPrevious use of warehouse management systems or receiving / loading preferredEducation and specialized skills profile:High school degree or GED equivalentKnowledge of SAP (preferred)Ability and aptitude to learn how to use JMC scanning computer mounted on forkliftAble to understand warehouse management system and operate according to guidelines Environment and Behavioral profile:Always operate in safe mannerDetail orientedAble to stay focused on completing tasksDemonstrates good time management and a sense of urgency.Must possess the ability to work well with little or no supervision and with a collaborative team.Desire to work overtime if needed.Work efficiently under pressure and help motivate employees/ team to meet demands.Must be willing to adapt to changing needs of the organization.Able to articulate issues and opportunities in an effective manner.Linguistic Profile:English language skills (oral and written) are necessary to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:Work location is Barnwell. This job operates in both the manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing conditions are not conditioned or climate controlled.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and operate for extended periods of time a fork truck, talk, hear, stand, walk; use hands/fingers along with small tools as needed.Must be able to adequately see all safety signs, shipping documents & materials packaging descriptions in an industrial / manufacturing light setting.
