The role of Customer Success & Event Manager involves spearheading the strategic planning and implementation of highly impactful customer strategies and trade shows. As a valued member of our expanding Product team, you will collaborate closely with customers and agencies to develop and execute initiatives that resonate with our brand objectives. Your primary focus will be on creating and implementing programs that not only meet customer expectations but also drive consumer engagement to align revenue goals with business objectives. Other responsibilities include: Leads strategic Sales/Trade promotion plan development and deployment, problem-solving and resolving issues with Sales/Trade promotion strategies that support and drive national business objectives to achieve sales & profit goals. Works with the Product and Sales team to develop strong relationships with key retail partners, including buyers, category managers, and marketing teams. Works with customers to develop and manage trade and shopper programs, including in-store promotions and marketing programming, including but not limited to sponsored search, digital ads, customer programs, displays, event programs, shopper knowledge, and sales education. Helps with the development, coordination, and testing of Sales and Customer initiatives/plans related to new product introductions and test markets Leads multi-brand/cross-category support projects to ensure full coherence and address all elements of a successful customer program. Assists with marketing, merchandising, and events updates within customer sales presentations and tools that are rich in category and shopper insights. Oversee measurement and optimization of customer and shopper tools/spending through ongoing evaluation and effective prioritization of key activities. Act as customer and shopper leads throughout the commercial planning process to ensure the shopper’s voice is at the heart of the Brand and Customer discussions. Develop and manage the annual customer calendar and trade budget, ensuring all activities align with our company's objectives. Creates and maintains a detailed budget tracking file, managing future programs and spending accordingly. Brief Marketing managers around key sales and shopper marketing assets needed to be built by the creative team Develop trade show strategies, solutions, and innovations that are tailored and relevant to the product/event to support the overall event strategy and achievement of event outcomes. Supports the leader in developing and implementing trade show aspects of event strategy. Works with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Creative Services, and Product Development to develop concepts for upcoming trade shows and showrooms. Plans and implements the events, booth buildout design, and negotiations, managing the creation of experiential elements for on-site activation. Manages show floor, leads floor plan management, and oversees space selection process, coordinating product orders and assets, managing on-site activation set up and take down of assets, event registration, and coordinating staffing needs for the event, catering, and dinner reservations. Conducts trade show committee meetings and manages process and execution, proactively communicates project status and program deadlines, identifies any areas of concern, addresses issues to ensure tradeshow outcomes are met, and hosts post-event recaps. Oversees third-party supplier needs (booth hardware, signage specifications, shipping security) Maintains and tracks tradeshow budget including processing purchase orders and invoices. Makes all travel arrangements for all attendees and guests including hotel/lodging, air, etc Collaborates with Marketing on internal/external communications regarding upcoming tradeshows. Other Duties as Assigned Requirements 5-7+ years of experience in CPG, Center Store, or manufacturing companies, preferably with a focus on customer-facing and shopper marketing. At least 4 years of trade show management experience. A solid understanding of the B2B Customer Life Cycle. Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with national retailers, with specific knowledge of Walmart, Target, and Costco retailer/marketing platforms preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes. Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%, which may include weekends. Familiarity with meeting and trade show industry terminology, along with a deep understanding of meeting planning, tradeshow, and sponsorship processes. Strong collaboration skills, blending strategic and tactical thinking, creativity, and analytical capabilities. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including the Brand Marketing team, Sales team, and Creative team/agencies. Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver timely, high-quality results.
