Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on robotic welder as requiredFits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface table and hand tools.Develops robotic path and motion to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.Operates welding robot on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings and programmed control data.Performs basic MIG and TIG welding techniques as needed.Assist engineering in the design and configuration of parts to utilize the robotic welder.Reads job specifications (e.g. blueprints, quality control plans and/or traveler notes) to determine type of welding and material requirements.Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or traveler notes using instruments such as gauges.Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and machines. RequirementsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experienced welder.Skilled blueprint reader.Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools including grinders and cut off wheels to measuring instruments such as a tape measure and gauges. Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School degree, diploma or a general education degree (GED);Certificate or degree in welding;1 - 2 years robotic welding experience; 3 plus years of MIG and TIG welding experience;Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary Description $24.75 - $26.75/hr
