General Summary of Position The\rtelecommunications team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center has a Per Diem (PRN) opening for a\rTelephone Service Rep, which is the first point of contact for callers and will\rprovide general information. This department is open 24/7 and the ideal\rcandidate will have open availability to fill in on any shift as needed for days, evenings, nights, and weekends. This position is PRN/as-needed. PRN positions are generally not eligible for benefits. \r\r Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provides information to callers, including general hospital information and directions; processes and directs incoming and outgoing calls utilizing the Intellidesk system, adhering to hospital and departmental standards. Records and reports all troubles with visitors, patients, and telephones to the proper authority. Sends regular, emergency, conference, visiting hours ending, and information desk closing pages via intercom and beeper. \r\r \r Minimum Qualifications EducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.
