POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant, under moderate supervision, performs a variety of accounting functions, including payroll processing, certain accounts payable and miscellaneous accounting and reporting functions related to an assigned group of divisions and/ or offices ("Responsibility Group"). The position is responsible for varied Accounting duties including but not limited to the creation of work plans, preparation of reports, analysis of data and metrics, presentation of findings, and the provision of administrative and project support. In addition to working autonomously, this position is differentiated from the Associate role through a demonstration of one or more of the following: subject matter expertise, ownership and accountability for complex assignments, and the ability to work in a supervisory capacity leading, coaching, and training associate level team members. It is a mid- level professional track position and will offer training and continuing education to support a career in management and leadership within BAYADA Home Health Care.

Qualified candidates must live within driving distance to Pennsauken, NJ. This is a hybrid role that would require the candidate to work in-office once a week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.
  • Performs varied and difficult aspects of the Accounting Associate position.
  • Maintains transactional support of 10-12 service offices.
  • Handles a limited number of offices, supporting all aspects of accounting related support functions
  • Mentor and Develop 1-2 Associate I and Interns.
  • Manage Accounts Payable, Payroll and HCM processes according to designated policies and procedures.
  • Approve accounts payable batches for assigned team members.
  • Provides support and supervision to 1- 2 Associate I or Interns
  • Participates in regular weekly staff meetings and takes the lead in providing oversight of the company's accounting processes, and strategically works to resolve issues.
  • Implements and supports accounting policies and procedures
  • Oversight of the Garnishment process for assigned team members.
  • Exposure to the billing and payroll correction process.
  • Perform payroll refund process for field employees as needed.
  • Perform the weekly voiding and reissuing process for lost, damaged or inaccurate field employee paychecks as needed.
  • Participate in the weekly revenue reporting process on a rotational basis with Accounting Supervisors and Senior Associates.
  • Understands the company's organizational structure, financial status, and operational goals/objectives.
  • Interview potential candidates for the Accounting Associate position.
  • Organizes work according to the greatest priority.
  • Analyze and identify the resources required to complete the office's routine work plan or special projects.
  • Provide day-to-day operational management support of assigned team members routine work plan or special projects.
  • Present oneself professionally and interact/build relationships with others in the organization including Responsibility Group, colleagues, and others within the organization.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with the organization's principal contacts including where necessary employees, vendors, payors, referral sources, and other constituents.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
  • Four (4) year college degree.
  • Two (2) years successful experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year in Associate III position.
  • Prior health care and home care experience is a plus.
  • Possesses effective project management skills including the ability to facilitate and organize.
  • Demonstrates well-developed presentation skills.
  • Proficient in basic business software applications required to perform job functions.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Solid record of goal achievement and exceeds performance standards.
  • Ability to work independently; be self-motivated, flexible, versatile and creative.
  • Possess problem solving ability, leadership skills and be able to foster interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to arrange information and files in a useful manner.
  • Proficiency in Associate job functions and responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Embraces the organization's entrepreneurial spirit through the recognition and capitalization of opportunities and a healthy challenge of the status quo.
  • Acceptable Pre-Employment Assessment Results.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
