Responsibilities of the Non-Profit Accountant

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and allocations.
  • Oversee post-award grant administration operations.
  • Perform related accounting duties for grant management.
  • Collaborate with finance staff on budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Finance Assistant and Executive Director.
  • Focus on subrecipient management, ensuring effective communication.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in handling various financial tasks.
  • Contribute positively to efficiency and collaboration within a small team.

Preferred Experience of the Non-Profit Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 2+ years' experience in accounting.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in a Non-Profit(highly preferred)
