Workday Release & Testing Manager - IT - Full Time
About the Job:
The Workday Release and Testing Manager defines and coordinates the Workday release activities including updates, upgrades, testing cycles, change control processes, integrations, and additional implementations. The incumbent will also be responsible for the review of Workday offerings for strategic planning and developing the Workday roadmap.

What Youll Do:
Manage the Staging and Production release calendar to prevent collisions and ensure visibility across the organization.
Work with the application team members to develop standard checklists for releases and initiate the process for distributing and reviewing release notes.
Schedule and facilitate release appointments, ensuring all required resources are accounted for.
Create and/or update change control cases, interacting with change control board and ensuring appropriate approvals are made.
Anticipate potential release issues and risks; plan and communicate mitigation steps.
Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement efforts related to release coordination.
Assist with the creation of test documentation, including but not limited to, test scripts/plans, test cases, test scenarios, and requirements traceability matrices.
Follow-up on testing issues; ensure qualification of issue type (defect, change, etc.) and steer towards a resolution.

Who You Are:
Education:

Bachelors degree, in computer science, business, or a closely related clinical field required. An additional four (4) years of the experience identified below can be viewed as a substitution for the required bachelors degree.
Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years of experience with appropriate computer systems and applications, of which a minimum of two (2) years of Workday experience, in a clinical or healthcare business field required. Demonstrated experience leading teams in change and release management for an integrated healthcare system required.
Knowledge:

Strong working knowledge of Workday required. Familiarity with software development roles, concepts, and the software development lifecycle required. Operational knowledge with a Workday module but has the aptitude to learn all of the modules required.
