About the Role The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing all inventory-related operations within a company. This role ensures that the organization always has access to the products it needs while considering cost controls, waste reduction, and supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities: Maintain and update inventory records using inventory management software. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses. Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies. Order, receive, and document new stock, ensuring its adequate storage. Coordinate with sales and production departments to forecast future inventory needs. Implement effective inventory control methods and procedures. Identify and dispose of obsolete or damaged inventory in accordance with company policies. Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and company policies. Work with the logistics team to manage shipping processes and schedules. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is a plus. Proficiency in inventory management software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of supply chain procedures.
