The HR Generalist role is a pivotal position that is responsible for a wide variety of deliverables. Our Generalists participate in everything from onboarding new hires to Workday HRIS transactions, coaching, employee relations, training, policy creation and implementation, and investigations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions. Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary actions.
•Updates, monitors, and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on merit or promotions.
•Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done promptly.
•Supports recruitment efforts and conducts new hire orientations and exit interviews.
•Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
•Maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case files and follows up on open cases.
•Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations related to employee and applicant documentation; USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; and EEO-1 report annually.
•Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
•Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports.
•Supports the Safety Manager and collaborates with management to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
•Able to travel occasionally (1-2 times per year).

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or equivalent.
•Minimum of five (5) years of human resources experience.
Bilingual - Spanish Required.
•HR Certification preferred, but not required: PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.
•Experience with Workday a plus.
•Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
•Excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
•Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
•Excellent customer-focused attention to detail.
•Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
•Build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, employees, and managers at all levels of the organization.
•Good project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
•Ability to work independently and interact with all levels of management.
•Strong skill set containing human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
•Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
