Rockdale ISD is steeped in pride and tradition with blue and gold seen throughout this community.Date Posted: 5/9/2024Deadline: Until FilledOpenings: 1Commitment: Full TimeDescription/Notes: Major Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional ManagementAssist the school principal with the overall administration of the instructional program at the campus level and coordinate assigned student activities and services.Provide leadership in the identification, evaluation, and selection of instructional programs, resources, and equipment for increased student achievement.Facilitate improved student performance through the professional growth of teachers and staff as measured by course work and assessment data.Provide quality instructional support and feedback on the instructional effectiveness of the campus.Work with the principal to develop and implement the master schedule.Assist in designing and providing professional development based on data analysis and campus needs.Meet regularly with academic department heads and assistant principals to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum.Manage Response to Intervention (RTI) programs including assisting with the identification of at-risk students and coordinating early intervention strategies.School ImprovementPlan and coordinate tutorials, interventions, additional support and resources, and other instructional programs for students in need of assistance.Facilitate and assist with the development of an effective campus improvement plan based on student needs.Ensure that student progress is evaluated on a regular, systematic basis and that the findings are used to make instructional programs and services more effective.School and Community RelationsConduct conferences with parents, students, and teachers.Increase awareness of the school's guidelines and expectations for student learning and achievement among students, staff, and parents.OtherFollow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise, evaluate, and recommend the hiring and firing of assigned staff including teachers and paraprofessionals.Qualifications: Qualifications:Education/Certification:Masters degree in educational administrationValid Texas principal or other appropriate certificateCertified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiserSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Working knowledge of curriculum and instructionAbility to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectivenessAbility to implement policy and proceduresWorking knowledge in Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Resource SystemAbility to interpret dataExcellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsExperience:3 years classroom teacher experience3 years instructional leadership experienceSalary Range: Based on ExperienceBenefits: We have adopted 4-Day Week Calendar for the 2024-25 School yearRockdale ISD pays $400 towards each employee's health insurance premium.Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts availableHealth Insurance as well as Dental, Vision, Emergency Transport, Legal Service plans and more available.How To Apply: Please go to www.rockdaleisd.net/Careers to see all job postings and apply#J-18808-Ljbffr
