SUMMARY The Project Manager is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating engineering for a wide variety of land development projects including residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, resort, recreation, infrastructure, and attraction of various types and sizes, some of which may have unique or controversial conditions. A typical day might include the following: Project coordination from inception to completion, including due diligence, planning, entitlements, civil engineering design, regulatory permitting and approvals through local, state, and federal permitting agencies and construction administration support. Project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, coordination of outside consultants, project tracking and project billing. Preparing and overseeing civil engineering design for site geometry, grading, drainage, roadway, water distribution, wastewater collection/transmission, parks, and other civil improvements. Preparing and overseeing development of design drawings, technical specifications, reports, cost estimates and other project deliverables. Analyzing technical information, performing engineering calculations, and advancing design concepts into effective and financially feasible engineering designs. Authoring technical reports such as due diligence reports, feasibility reports, design reports, and technical memoranda Providing technical support throughout all project stages from request for proposal through final design and construction. Serving as Engineer of Record for various projects and/or project tasks. Preparing and participating in client meetings and presentations. Providing leadership and guidance for project engineers and design technicians. “MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field. Professional Engineering license. Minimum 6 years’ progressive experience in design and management of land development projects. Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Highly organized with good time management skills. Sufficient familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS and other engineering design software to allow effective communication and guidance of project design team. BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE Experience with MicroStation ORD. Previous work experience in an AEC related firm. FDOT Advanced MOT Certification.
