We are seeking a diligent and committed Owner-operator Drayage Truck Driver to become a part of our vibrant transport ecosystem. This role focuses on the transport of containerized freight between ports, terminals, and customer facilities, ensuring timely and safe delivery, with the driving force of personal business ownership and operational autonomy. Transport containerized freight from ports to various destinations smoothly and safely. Manage own business operations including scheduling, maintenance, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and ensure secure loading practices to safeguard freight. Keep accurate records of all cargo transported as required by company and government regulations. Utilize Schneider?s tools and technologies to manage routes and maintain communication with dispatch and customers. Collaborate effectively with other Schneider team members and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to drive a tractor-trailer effectively. Knowledge of truck maintenance and a preventive approach to vehicle upkeep. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
