Want to be a CNC Programmer for Game Composites?

The CNC Programmer will partner with engineers and CNC operators to convert digital models into physical products, tools, and fixtures. Using cutting edge software and machines, they'll create programs that focus on efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability. They are experts in 5-axis machining of composite materials and have a high impact on the success of the department. Additionally, they'll use their expertise to contribute to final design and manufacturability of new products and components.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Taking models designed in SolidWorks and creating machining programs using Mastercam.
  • Being an expert in tooling selection so machine capability and product quality are maximized.
  • Running simulations in Mastercam to validate programs are efficient and safe.
  • Coordinating and training engineers on equipment characteristics so that products are designed with manufacturing in mind.
  • Collaborating with CNC Operators to discuss program characteristics.
  • Creating production set-up sheets so that programs are ran effectively and goods are produced to specification.
  • Owning the CNC program revision and file system so that programs are cataloged, and operators have access to only the approved revisions.
  • Leading machining trouble-shooting efforts with operators and engineers.
  • Participating in lean manufacturing solutions in our machining centers.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior programmers and operators.
Minimum requirements:
  • 3 (three) or more years of experience programming 5-axis machining centers.
  • 1 (one) or more years of experience programming composite molds and parts; experience with carbon fiber machining is a must.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Vericut and Mastercam 2023 or newer.
  • Understanding of G-code and M-code programming language.
  • Expert ability to read and understand digital models.
  • Working experience creating machine setup sheets with word processing programs.
  • Functional experience with tool and fixture design for composite components.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
