applications which may be sooner than the closing date Duties Serves as a senior member or coordinator of a project/program support team responsible for business systems requirements assessment, evaluation, analysis, planning, design development, validation, implementation, etc. and maintenance of an assigned area/subsystem in DLA Information Operations J62D. Performs "level of effort" assessment/impact analysis in concert with customers, coworkers, and system users for fixes, enhancements and other changes based on high level business requirements. Evaluates and analyzes the customer's business system requirements for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, integrity, completeness, compliance, compatibility and testability. Assists in the evaluation, selection and integration of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and/or Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions. Identifies and defines system interface requirements with other ancillary automated information systems(AIS) that support DLA's logistics business. Oversees implementation and maintenance of system software modifications. Participates in release management, software transition, and deployment activities. Tests and validates that all software modifications meet system specifications and that they fulfill the approved business system requirements. Coordinates as necessary to develop and execute a comprehensive test program. Develops functional designs, operational concepts; detailed inputs/outputs, system interrelationships, and processing logic. Conducts and/or participates in the research and investigation of technological developments that have the potential to improve the design, modification, testing installation, implementation, etc. and support of new or existing applications software.
