RESPONSIBILITIES: Work on projects to upgrade switches and migrate to new technologies Provide support for network, firewalls, & operations across global & cloud environments Spend 50% of your time on upgrades/migrations, 30% on maintenance, & 20% on support Troubleshoot network issues/failures, evaluate current issues, devise solutions, & execute updates to enhance network topologies for optimal stability/functionality Provide technical analysis & remediation during troubleshooting processes, ensuring that all activities are well-documented and procedural standards are maintained/refined, including reporting findings to management Collaborate with stakeholders to lead problem-solving efforts, contribute to the evolution of system roadmaps, and make critical decisions Work closely with the security team to uphold security best practices Ensure clear, consistent communication with management through regular updates & reports Perform deployment configuration & architectural design of networking technologies specific to routing, switching, & network security best practices Perform data center design, architecture, deployment, & config for physical & virtual appliances REQUIRED SKILLS: 5+ years as a Network Engineer, including network infrastructure design, implementation, administration, & maintenance Strong knowledge in network security best practices Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, & Meraki (firewall, routing/switching, wireless, & security) Cisco VPN experience Experience in data center design, architecture, deployment, & config with physical & virtual appliances Experience in networking technologies such as STP, HSRP, Nexus vPC, LACP, & IPSEC/SSLVPN Experience in routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, & BGP Understanding of authentication methods including LDAP, Radius, & Okta Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills Consultative personality & excellent communication skills PREFERRED SKILLS: CCNP certification Cisco AnyConnect VPN Palo Alto Global Protect VPN Azure network config IPS/IDS experience with Palo Alto Next Gen Firewall (NGFW) W2 only; NO 3rd Parties / C2C / Visa Sponsorship
