The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the company's IT systems, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and scalable. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex IT systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization.
- Perform system configuration, optimization, and performance tuning to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
- Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals to integrate various systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration settings, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and patch management to keep systems current and secure.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols, to protect company data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project teams to define system requirements and develop solutions that meet business objectives.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve system performance and security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of systems architecture, networking, and security principles.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies is a plus.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience in managing large-scale enterprise systems and infrastructure.
